YUCK!!!!!

Starting to be a common reaction of yours to my posts!
That's why I thought it was so appropriate! Actually what you were describing is a sort of Rickenbacker-meets-Westone Thunder (remember those?!)

I figure if they are just going to be furniture guitars, why not go the wohle hog and give it a oak-y gentlemans's club theme.

Just be grateful I didn't add a leather upholstery lined case.

OMG. I have no taste, do I?

Perhaps you should consider a job at Gibson?

;-)

Ah ok thanks... I'd never heard of AFG before... Decided to look it up, found this:

I personally LOVE IT! It's even more fiery than the normal fireglo, which makes it quite unique. I find it way cool. :)

If I could design my own RIC I would probably try something in the direction of the Susanna Hoffs model. The body shape of a 325/350 with a Bigsby B5, but a wider full-scale 650C style neck without bindings. This guitar could be lacquered in a greenburst finish which could be called "appleglo." And I would equip it with a humbucker in the neck position and a 12k toaster at the bridge. Sounds like an almost perfect combination of the RICs I already own ;-) ...

Yeah, a green burst would be great. Check out this guys link. I guess he has a couple super rare early Ricks with a green burst color (heck he's probably a member here). Super long address to cut and paste, sorry.

quick hint for finding the last link, for those not hip for cut/pasting links. Highlight the entire link address (should look purple) hold in the Ctlr button and hit "c"....you just copyed the address. Go up to the address line in your browser and holding Ctrl button and push "v", you just pasted it. Now hit enter. Its quicker than using the scroll down edit stuff.

Sorry, I know this is not Rick related, just figured I'd pass that along for those not used to doing it. The address is painfully long I would hate anyone to have to try and type it out.

Orange and purple Rick guy

Dude, you could've just removed the google frame. This is the same page without the google search frame:

http://topshelfguitarshop.com/TScollection.html

Yes, that huge link became the tiny one above. :P And these are DIRECT links to the IMAGES:

By the way, those look BEAUTIFUL!!!! Amagod! Green is my fav color and holy crap does that look NEAT on Rickenbackers!!!! I want a 4005 in that color now!! «drooling»
Preferably the lighter green on the 330 (the 360's is slightly darker).

You guys should read the short stories about how he got those guitars. Apparently 5 or LESS were made in each of those finishes... And he's got one of each... Holy crap!

(PS: I didn't understand use of your explanation in your previous post lol... There's no way to hyperlink in these forums (that I know of) so we HAVE to copy/paste in order to check a different URL...)

Yes, this is what I had in mind when I wrote "greenburst". There is a picture of a 330 in this colour in "The Rickenbacker Book" by Bacon & Day. This is the best colour I have ever seen on a Rickenbacker. I wonder why it was never produced in larger quantities.
