I have an 84 325V59 where the trussrod cover has some damage to it. Am I correct to assume that if I return this cover to Rickenbacker they will replace it for a nominal fee. Once they authenticate it I assume. I thought I read this but can't find it anywhere.

Quote: I thought I read this but can't find it anywhere. You'll find info about TRC replacement by going to the Service tab, then "FAQ" and click on "Parts." Also, you can call or e-mail RIC customer service for details about replacing a TRC.

I spoke with some one there. I was told send in at least 1/2 if we determine it's legit we can replace it.
I wonder how many times people send in 1/2 and wait awhile so send in the other.
Before someone says that's dishonest I know it is. I just wonder how much it happens. Mine is a whole one. It's got great all over it from age and sitting I'd assume. It's an 84 that other than the pickguard and TRC appears to be untouched.
The case was pretty dusty -but what was inside was a masterpiece. How do I post a picture. There is no way to make a link is there.

The folks at Ric may constantly be busy, but they certainly aren't stupid.
"Hmmm, ... didn't Joe Dokes, just send in the top half his TRC for replacement? Let's check the data base. ... "

" Well wouldn't the smart thing to do is wait a month or so and have your buddy send it in. If someone was going to be dishonest why would they be dumb eniough to send in the bottom 1/2 later. LOL Guess that's why dishonest people get caught they are dumb. My only concern sending mine back is I am definately not the original owner. This was from a guy who died in the 80's and his widow just passed. So her son was selling it.
