The Ric-O-Sound unit is discontinued? Holy smokes, I got one for Christmas, and do I ever feel lucky.

Are Rics in the future going to no longer have the stereo output jack? It would make sense to me, since the tool you need to make it work will no longer be available.

Or is this discontinuation just a temporary situation?

Stereo output will obviously remain a feature on deluxe models. I hate to take away some of the mystique of the Ric-O-Sound kit, but it *is* just a high quality stereo Y splitter kit with a fancy box.

I saw a used one going on Ebay yesterday minus the extra cables for $80....some pretty stupid people out there

My order was taken so it looks like I will receive at some point.

This forum is really neat - when I read that the R-O-S was being discontinued I placed an order and expect to receive it in the next "3 weeks" as the saying goes. Although my 370/12MG has been back ordered to 6/06 by my dealer, I look forward to putting together the guitar, toaster p/us (also on order), R-O-S and YingleYangle sometime this summer. Mr Hall, et al, keep up the great work!

You will love your guitar I guarantee. And you are right; this is a great forum. From the CEO to newbies like me, this is the coolest of the manufacturers forums I have seen. (sound files would make the scene hint hint).

I've seen the pickup covers for 4003's going for $40 on ebay. Amazing.

Many years ago I bought some hardware at Radio Shack and made a box that split my 360-12's stereo output into 2 mono outputs. It worked great (and continues to work great) for over 20 years now. This was something I always wondered about. Now I don't feel like I may have short changed myself for not buying the ROS kit back then.
