Just placed an order from Musician's Friend for a 4003 MID, my FIRST NEW Rick! (I've got 3 older ones, so I'm not exactly suffering)
Should be here in a week, I guess. Now the really hard part comes: waiting while the bass is out on the truck.
You'd think after waiting for several years planning this purchase a few more days wouldn't seem so long, but I know it will drag on until this beauty arrives.

I've bought quite a few already in the last 3 or 4 yrs, so I'm holding off to see if Ric brings a 5 string bass back in the line-up. And at some point, I just *have* to have a 660/12 before it's all over, too.

Quote: A 360/12C63. My dealer has 5 on order (for 3 years), but wasn't included in the production run of last year, so we wait.....
After that, I'm pretty much done unless a new model or COY is produced. Ditto............

I'd love to get a 650D. Missed out on one recently, but will keep looking. I love the look and sound of them!

I've got my sights set on a 650C. I'd also like to find an older 4004 that's been kinda beat up so I'd have a reliable gig bass that I wouldn't have to baby like my '09 4003..... or am I just being an overprotective father lol???

A 620. Hopefully, toward the end of the summer or in the autumn.

I'm aiming for either a MID 660/12, or a JG 620/12 with toasters.
Funny thing, I've never cared much for black guitars, Ricks included, but there's just something about the 620 in JG, especially with full-width inlays. Can't explain it. I don't even go for the 660 in JG, even though it's very similar in appearance. Just not enough contrast with the gold trim, or something. The only other black guitar that's ever caught my eye is the 350SH.
Love the MID/gold combination on the 660, though!
In my alternate reality, The Beatles never broke up, JFK was never assassinated, health care is free and reliable, ...and I have a 360/12C63 in DCM!
...back to reality...
