Well, I've been thinking about #9 for a while, (have, or have had 8 Ric's so far, mostly basses). Been leaning heavily toward a 660/12, but just picked up a beautiful Ruby Red 330/6 yesterday. My first 300 series. It's not just beautiful, it's divine. Gives the old 620 a run for it's money tonally, but just runs away with the color. Guess #10 will be a 660/12, unless I get another Cheyenne bass first.

Next Rickenbacker will be a mid-60's JG 450/12 to replace one I sold many moons ago to finance my college education. Have to convince the holder of the purse strings first!

Next one for me will be a 4001CS Chris Squire Signature bass in the low 300's number range, due to arrive tomorrow! :)

What is the difference between a lower 300 range number 4001CS and a higher range number (exept the date of manufacturing) ?? Any spec's??

I've been thinking I'd like to have a 650 Dakota one day. Already enjoying a Fireglo 330/6 and a Mapleglo 330/12. Great guitars, both of them.

I think (not 100% sure) that the necks were made fatter front to back in the later numbers than the earlier ones.....BTW, the CS model I have is FANTASTIC, #348! :D

I just picked up a GORGEOUS FireGlo 4003 manufactured 02/12, for use in Baltimore! Bill's Music House in Catonsville carries RICs, and they still have a 4003 Mapleglo one, but with the bridge all the way down, the action is still too high for my liking. The Fireglo's action is ridiculous! Love it! :D Bill's also has other RICS for sale...I heard someone trying out a 12 string while I was paying for my new FG 4003 8-)
