Well, I've been thinking about #9 for a while, (have, or have had 8 Ric's so far, mostly basses). Been leaning heavily toward a 660/12, but just picked up a beautiful Ruby Red 330/6 yesterday. My first 300 series. It's not just beautiful, it's divine. Gives the old 620 a run for it's money tonally, but just runs away with the color. Guess #10 will be a 660/12, unless I get another Cheyenne bass first.

Next Rickenbacker will be a mid-60's JG 450/12 to replace one I sold many moons ago to finance my college education. Have to convince the holder of the purse strings first!

I've been thinking I'd like to have a 650 Dakota one day. Already enjoying a Fireglo 330/6 and a Mapleglo 330/12. Great guitars, both of them.

Next Rick? A fretless 4004 Laredo with an unadorned and unfinished ebony or ziricote fingerboard.

Someone in this forum mentioned there are differences, but I want to now wich diferences.. I think (not 100% sure) that the necks were made fatter front to back in the later numbers than the earlier ones.....BTW, the CS model I have is FANTASTIC, #348! I just picked up a GORGEOUS FireGlo 4003 manufactured 02/12, for use in Baltimore! Bill's Music House in Catonsville carries RICs, and they still have a 4003 Mapleglo one, but with the bridge all the way down, the action is still too high for my liking. The Fireglo's action is ridiculous! Love it! Bill's also has other RICS for sale...I heard someone trying out a 12 string while I was paying for my new FG 4003 Jim
