The "pic with your Ric" thread got me thinking that maybe some of us might want to share sound clips/songs/whatever featuring our Rickenbacker guitars?

As much as I think Rics are beautiful guitars, they WERE designed to make noise after all! Post your noise!

What is the best and / or easiest way to upload an audio file?

You really can't upload audio files here. As it is, most forums that do allow audio file uploads only allow about a minutes worth of .mp3. What I ended up doing, was opening a Soundclick account (it's free), that I use to upload my audio files to. I then can link these audio files to posts I'm making in forums. But there is one thing about Soundclick - for legal reasons, they don't want you to upload cover songs into your Soundclick account. In other words, only original tunes, sound demos, etc. are allowed. That means no covers that including Jam riffs, Beatles riffs, Smithereens riffs, Tom Petty and The Hearbreakers riffs, etc.

If I'm not too beat after I get home from work, I'll see about putting together some stuff soundwise.

Thanks mpark, It was actually the first time I tried my rick o sound. I ended up running the treble pickup through my Bass Pod then into the left channel of the PC. I ran the neck pickup through a Line 6 guitar amp set to a cleanish Marshall type setting,then into the right channel of the PC. I thought the result came out pretty good. There is no doubt it's a Rickenbacker.

"Caedfael" and "So Much To Do" are played with my 325V59 for the clean & crunchy rhythm guitars and my 650AVH for the distorted lead guitars. The bass is a cheap Ibanez on "So Much To Do" and a Fender Highway One Jazzbass on "Cadfael".

"When The Fever Starts To Fall" is played entirely with my 325V59 for all the guitars. The bass is the same cheap Ibanez again.

I use a VOX AC30CC1 recorded with a Groove Tubes large diaphragm condenser microphone in front of the center of the speaker for all clean and crunchy guitars and a Hughes and Kettner Tubeman for the distorted guitars.

Here's my sound clip and yes my age is showing. This was done with a 2006 330 Fireglo with Flat Wound T
I strings directly through a PA with no external effects.
