Quote: Quote: Quality stuff guys! Another fave of mine. Magazine - The Light Pours Out of Me http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0J1sOQdvudc or the ever intense. Magazine - Motorcade http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=js_mv32b ... re=channel Thats badass. Adamson on a Ric is mind boggling - I saw them play Seattle in '79 and he was playing an Ovation Magnum. One of the truly underrated bassists/bands of the "wave" generation. I felt the same way! Been a huge Magazine fan since my first delving into "post-punk". Its like a match made in heaven, and his physical playstyle looks very fitting for a Ric. I would love to have seen them in the late 70's, envy you even! You mention his Ovation.. well its a shame to say that I have read that was his primary bass as I would love to imagine in my head that he has some deep brand allegiance to Rickenbacker. Same can be said for this next bassist I suppose. Who has sponser hopped a bit in his day, but remains a very prestigious bassist in Germany. However he has in his time utilized a few Ric basses. As I have often said my favorite performances including a RIC were those by The Fall in the late 80s, f.e.: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x1DaNWuMKNQ http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KxDq5KKNVbA http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=56dxJjXbnjg (The videos are not very impressive, but the music and the live performances were great.) |

Never knew Brix played a Ric! Absolutely amazing. "This Nation's Saving Grace" is one of my favorite albums ever, and Mark E Smith is a true urban poet to the highest degree. |

My first post and "Hello" to the forum! One of my favorite live locations in Bremen: MONOPILOT performing 'startklar' for the first time at M.S. Treue Bremen (http://www.treue-bremen.de), a (swimming) ship build of concrete (not kidding) that is now a club with gastronomy and live concerts... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oVZm-arSB6E |

Yes! That's excellent - typical Rickenbacker sound maybe with a light touch of a flanger - instantly recognizeable (sp?) I love it! PS ricmic - not Titas (pronounced Tit Ass...) ... but Titus :o) (sorry...) |
