Took a trip to Sam Ash on Sunset and played an 86 330 and a 96 360.. Both guitars were amazing and any hesitation I had about getting one is completley gone. They both play great and feel great I cant help but think how awesome a brand new one would be ! Was I correct in thinking that the 360 neck is chunkier and a bit wider than the 330? Jsut wondering. No matter.. I amy jump into a 330 this summer. I cant wait!

The only reason that the neck felt thinker was because there was a ten year gap between those two guitars. If you compare the spec's from our site you can see that they have the same neck profile.

You can do the comparisons here:

So it seems. The RIC with the thinnest neck that I own is my 1992 325V59. My 1999 650A has a thinner than my 2005 650D. And my 2004 620 also has a rather thick neck. I don´t know the reason, but it seems that necks are getting thicker at the Rickenbacker factory - at least in the past few years.

Yet the neck on my 1996 350V63 is thicker than my 2004 350V63, huh?

Cheers, Kez
