Does the 481 mean slanted frets? But they look parallel. Pretty slick regardless.

Some of the "one-offs" I've seen in pictures of the factory/museum are some of the coolest things I've ever seen. RIC has a knack for it I guess.

I believe the 481 was originally listed as 481SF. The 480/1 difference was the deluxe features of the 481, i.e the bound body and fretboard inlays.

Not all 481's had slanted frets, although the majority did. Anyway, the main characteristics of the 481 were those of all our "deluxe series" guitars . . . binding, inlays. As such the case was compelling to call this a 481.

My recollection is that at least the entire first run of these were not slanted fret versions nad that the SF option was made standard only later.

At least if Witty got it .....we still would at least get to see the photo!
It would have been so good to get a sound clip of that one, if it sounded as yummy as it looked whoever got it will be stunned!

i think witty got it... the bidders profile shows about 30 percent activity on the RIC ebay outlet and I beieve witty also got´s about 300 ratings... we ´ll see :geek:
