Nah, wouldn't solve anything. BUT...for you "diehards" who may lament the phasing out of bubinga in favor of the caribbean rosewood: the caribbean rosewood is actually slightly harder, therefore slightly brighter and longer wearing, so it has all the jangle. But I do confess to preferring a bubinga fingerboard with a Fireglo finish!

You'll notice his pronunciation corrects itself at 35 seconds in, after saying RickenBOCKer (ugh) a few times. The first part is outside the factory, and then, at 35 seconds, he's inside the factory, saying it right. I understand that Mr. Hall corrected him before tape started rolling on the second part. At around 21:00, he also begins saying it wrong again, and then catches himself, correcting it.

Yeah, I caught that, too. He must have been corrected between segments.

I'm just wondering why no one has pointed out that I incorrectly referred to the 4005 basses as 4004's.
In my defense, it was a long day!

Great videos. I had no idea that RIC was so innovative.

What was that other bass right by the one with the 3/1 headstock design? It looked like it had the normal shape of the 4000 series but from what little I saw of it, was rather different looking.
