My Rickenbacker has a serious problem caused by Humidity i bought it new in 2007, subsequently loss the keys, moved from Singapore to Switzerland, bought news keys of Ebay and opened the case to find the guitar covered in mildew and two strings busted, i took it to a shop in Switzerland and the price to get it all in order was over 1200CHF i managed to pick myself up from the shock.
Anyway i am looking for a cheaper option any ideas, i move to the UK in February so anyone in the big smoke have any contacts that can help me.
The guitar came in a Rickenbacker case as well but Asia has that effect on mosts things anyway

Well, I'm not sure about how much 1200 CHF is compared to the U.S. Dollar, but from your reaction, it sounds as if it would be more affordable to buy a second hand Ric.
