I've recently seen a "one off" 325C64 made in 2009. I'm wondering if this would be a good purchase or whether I should buy a new model, instead? This model is not standard to the usual eg it has the R tailpiece. If anyone can help me choose, I would be most grateful. Thanks.

I think you are referring to the 310C64's which we did in 2009 for Japan. We made them in JG and Monty Brown. Those were limited production.

Actually, I think he's referring to this one:

Which is a one-of-a-kind. As to whether or not it would be a good purchase is entirely up to you. You most certainly can't go wrong buying a new Rick guitar, they are the best they've ever been.

But if you want something special, that nobody else has, and are willing to pay the premium for that, I'm sure the one-off is also a fine guitar...

good spot, that's the one I've seen. I wasn't sure if it was collectable as it has been altered by Rickenbacker from the standard. I see it has John Hall's guarantee on the letter but it could be fake?
