On page 108 of the Richard Smith book, the pic located in the lower left-hand corner; caption says 'Trade Show 1958'. On the bottom row, there's Lennon's guitar, then a blue Combo 400, then an Autumglo/brown sunburst guitar which looks like a 330. Is that what it is, or was this another model at this time? It's unclear to me what guitars constitute the 'Capri' and which ones are 330s.

The model you're confused about is a first year '58 330 in Autumnglo.Capri is just the original name of the 300 Series.

I wasn't sure when the started calling it the 330. I wish Richard Smith would produce a new edition of this book.

Ricslinger already stated this in almost the same language.
I wasn't sure when Rickenbacker started calling the Capri the 330.
