Yeah, I know how cliche this is, but odds are since you're here, you've got a Ric. What is it?
Personally I have a Fireglo 1999 360/12 and a 2001 Desert Gold 5002v58 with a Mapleglo 660 on the way.

I had the privilege of my first "real" bass being a 1977 MG 4001... this was back in 1977, mind you! For reasons I'd rather forget, I had to sell it in 1987.
Well 18 years later (just last week as a matter of fact), I finally became a Rickenbacker owner again by purchasing a very slightly used 4001C64S from a fellow member of The Rickenbacker Forum (thanx Bob!).
Color me one happy camper!

4005 - you have WAY too much cash! Throw some my way for a nice custom 381 or a 4005 of my own!
Actually , I just saw an 8-string 4005 on Gbase for like $19,000 that I really want. ;)

The following Ricks grace my stable of instruments:
1974 4001 (Fireglo) 1978 3001 (Walnut) 2003 4003 (Montezuma Brown)
Each with their own unique character & personality. The 1974 4001 has made a bit of a comeback in my rotation as I just had the bridge pickup rewound by Lindy Fralin & the .0047 cap removed...
