Any body know what the factory size string gauge was for a 650A with a HI-TEK vibrato produced in 2001? Were the nut slots and/or vibrato unit designed for 10,13,17,26,42? Any one know if such string sets are available or must one mix and match there own set?

Until a few years back, the standard string gauge from the factory was 10-13-17-26-34-42 but as you note, we realigned our stringing to 10-13-17-26-36-48. Surely there are quality string makers out there, such as GHS, D'Addario, or SIT that offer sets as we used to use.
However, the new sets are better balanced and will work just fine with the Hi Tek vibrato.
