I'm looking at a listing on Reverb.com for a model 355v63 FG with a Rose Morris F-Hole (1-O'Clock position) and factory accent vibrato.......definitely long scale.......I cannot find ONE WORD anywhere on the actual existence of this guitar.......it's being offered from a seller in Japan.

The closeups LOOK authentic, but I can find no information whatever that Ric ever manufactured the guitar. :?:

What say ye? Can someone from Ric perhaps chime in on this one? I'd appreciate it.

There is a Ric model 1996 6-string in FireGlo with the "F" hole (Rose Morris), and a 355/12 JetGlo - John Lennon Re-Issue model that came out in 1990.
Lennon used both of these models briefly in 1964!
I can't recall ever hearing about a model 355v63, hopefully Mr. or Ms. Hall will chime in to clear this up!

Yeah, I'm aware of both of those models, however this one is definitely different than both.....The pickup spacing is obviously the 350v style, and it's a full scale.....but in Fireglo, and with a Rose Morris F-Hole & vibrato......! Advertised as a 355V63, on which I can find nothing.....not a single word.....no evidence at all that it was ever made, yet there it is, being offered by a dealer in Japan. I'm stumped............

Remember that RIC occasionally builds a run of Japan-specific guitars.

I checked out that 355v63 on Reverb from Japan and they just have the model number wrong. That is a model 1996!

I don't think it is a long scale neck, and these models were notorious for falling out of tune. It has the "F" hole like the one J. Fogarty had. J. Lennons had a little slant to it, I like this style "F" hole a little better myself.

The pickup spacing is far too wide for a model 1996.....That's a sure and certain sign of the 320's and 325's.....they all have tight spacing due to the short scale. The longer scale 350 models have a larger space between each pickup (on the later models that is.....there were some nice earlier 350's produced with tight spacing).

SO, to find that Ric produced a limited run of a 355-FG with a Rose Morris F-Hole for Japanese market is a great piece of info!
