Some friends of mine in Northern Ireland were the recent target of a burglary. I'm reprinting this so that folks in either the Belfast area or across in Scotland (where there's evidence this stuff went) may keep their eyes open. Coincidentally, someone I know had just removed a small cache of valuable, irreplaceable Rickenbackers from storage there. Apparently this is a very partial list- the place was essentially gutted:

Vigilance urged following studio theft

Those working in the music, recording and technology industries are being urged to keep an eye out for number of items that were stolen from a recoding studio at the weekend.

Many of the items stolen from the Blueroom Recording Studios, Donaghadee are of a specialist nature and not commonly available in Northern Ireland. If you hear of any similar items being offered for sale please contact the studios or the police so some of the items can hopefully be recovered.

Items taken include:

Guitars:

Fender Jazz Bass, Japanese, 1975 Reissue, 3 tone burst, black scratch plate, rosewood neck with block inlays. Jim Dunlop strap locks.

Fender Telecaster, US, 1994(?) Standard, Black with white pearloid scratch plate and rosewood neck. Schaller straplocks.

Tokai 335, Japanese, 2005, Flamed maple top (natural), bigsby tuner, rosewood neck.

Tokai Stratocaster, Japanese, original 1978 model, black with white scratch plate, maple neck.

Amps:

SWR Workingman 12 bass Combo
Fender Hotrod Deluxe guitar combo
Keyboards and Mixers:

The equipment was uninsured and as a result the bands that have recorded at Blueroom have rallied together to play a benefit gig to out the studio. The gig will take place in Lavery's on Sun 26th March and feature the Tin Pot Operation, Ed Zealous and many others.

You can contact Peter at the Blueroom Recording Studios on 07801 290 492.

Wow that's terrible. Hopefully they can catch the jerks who did this and maybe this'll help them out.
