For jazz, let's not forget Chris Brubeck. Personally I regret that I don't know any country bassists by name . . . no matter what brand they use!

Would you have called The Desert Rose Band Country? If so, I could have said Chris Hillman.

and then you have super bassists like session legend Carol Kaye who absolutely won't ever be categorized into any one particular facet of music. Even though she put the P-bass on the map, I'm sure has a Ric bass in her arsonal.

I played blues with my '81 4003 ten years ago and play country now with my '05 4003. An acquaintance of mine from Worcester,MA also plays country with his Rick a 4001CS. I know he's on the rickresource forum, are you out there Jason?

Yessir, the Desert Rose Band would count as country. Also, some of the Eagles earlier stuff would be categorized as country or country-rock. While I never saw it myself, I heard that Randy Meisner played a 4001 sometimes (maybe on the "Hotel California" album?).

I'm sure there are others that we just haven't thought of yet.
