This is a *great* idea. Hagstrom in Sweden has also made "new old stock" parts available if they have them, and it is nice to be able to get an original replacement part for something that is damaged or changed out.
I should also add that none of the basses have been made since the early 80's, and likely never will be again, so the ability to get NOS parts is even more important.
