My dream Rick bass:

A 4004Cii5 with a body shaped like a 4003 so it can have checkered binding. Full width mother of pearl inlays on the fingerboard. No neck binding. Transparent black satin (not high gloss) finish on highly flamed maple. Chrome or brushed chrome hardware. Black TRC with chrome letters. 3 pickups, placed like the ones on the 4004LK.

I like the idea of a 660 based bass! I would like to see RIC use the same style bridge which would mean resurrecting the 4005 bridge!!! I'd want mine Jetglo, which would look great with the gold pickguard and TRC.

My dream Rickenbacker would be a free Rickenbacker! (or several!!)

Any guitar, any bass, any configuration. I won't complain.

It would cool to have one of the Lemmy basses, too.

And one of the John Lennon 325s, 6- and 12-string.

(I was totally amazed that Ric made Lefty versions of the Lennons. That's why I love Rickenbacker: They look out for us 'Unique' players)

My dream model would be a 360-12 with the original 360 Capri "Felix the Cat"-head body (smaller horns). It would have vintage tuners and P/U's, white guards and trc, "R" T/P, full length sharks-tooth inlays, and stereo wiring. It would be finished in that beautiful "iced tea" sunburst (autumn-glo?) they used back in the day. The biggie upgrade would be a built-in compressor, using a push-pull pot to activate it and roll-knobs in between the two guards (on the edge) to adjust. It also would have an easy access battery panel mounted flush on the rear. -Dr.Phil

Right now, a 4080/12 is my dream Ric. Nothing extra or custom - I don't even care what colour!

I know a lot of people have dream Rickenbacker's listed as the 4005 Bass.
Who knows maybe one day you guys will get your wish with that one?
I saw a couple on gbase for 15 and 19 grand but they were specialty Bass's a 6 stringer and an 8 stringer.

Rickenbacker already made my dream guitar it's the 360/12C63 and the Carl Wilson guitar covered the 1965 360/12 Deluxe design that I always liked.

Other than that I like the Rose Morris guitars that Rickenbacker sold to England in the 60's.
Those versions were very unique, I like the way Rose Morris specifically asked for them.

Oh and who can forget the 370/12RM with the built in compressor, that's my other favorite Rickenbacker.
The compressor is just awesome.
I just need and extra 5 grand to get one now, LOL...

Rickenbacker has already made all my favorites to perfection!

The only dream I could have regarding Rickenbacker is for them to somehow replicate that Crushed Pearl Inlay they had from 1965 to about 1971...

My dream ric is on order as we speak, I have waited for 20 some odd years to own a lefty mg/rh string bass. I have 3 r/h basses which are rics, but no lefty. i im looking forward to playing this bad boy. In another dream, I had a 2006, 75 aniver. ric bass that was a lefty white with black trim, and the # 75 at the 12 fret. Hint Hint

Mr.Hall that material is a real head scratcher.
I've looked high and low for some NOS material, can't find any.
