Hello and thanks in advance for any and all tips.
I am a new 360/6 owner and I just switched out the hi-gains, had a repair guy install toasters and idiotically he used two foam pads on both pickups and proceeded to argue with me that the pickups had to be VERY close to the strings, so I had to take them out and there's not a single RICK person here in Vienna....unfortunately.
So how close should the pickups be to the strings and how do I measure that and with what? I know there are personal taste differences but just as a starting point. They seem to about a quater of an inch. How should I get the action down? or should I? I don't really know what "relief" means..The action, it seems fine, but I am having a dickens of a time adjusting the bridge piece and keeping it flat and equal. . Any Tips? So if you can direct me to any good 360/6 set up tips. I have played guitar for a long time but I have always managed to have someone else set up my guitars and now with a Rick I want to do as much I as I can myself. SO THANKS FOR ANY TIPS, LINKS, VIDEOS, PHOTOS, or PMS...I need whatever knowledge you can impart and would be very thankful....

Seriously? The guy INSISTED, as in declined to change the guitar to your specs?
Remember what we do in America, Daniel. If someone does a poor job that you're paying them for, make them do it right, or don't pay them.
