My 2003 (or so) 650D could probably use a good oiling. I know natural Watco Danish Oil is a favorite for the walnut, but what about the maple neck and fretboard? The manual refers to "tung oil" which is kind of like telling someone you want a "soda" - I've found there are many different products that use tung oil in the name with differing additives.
I'm used to using a minuscule amount of Birchwood Casey Tru-Oil gunstock finish on my maple Musicman bass necks, it's the recommended product. But I'm nit sure how EBMM finishes their maple compared to Rickenbacker.
Can/should I use the Watco Danish Oil all over including the neck and fretboard?
