Hi folks. . .

Just picked up a 360 MG after about five years of going without a rick. (Or a guitar of any kind, for that matter)

I'm interested in recording myself for posting online and maybe making some demo vids. I own a Vox tonelab SE - but it has no good way of getting signal into my macbook pro. No USB or firewire. I will probably use Garageband, at least at first. I will also be recording a lot of random acoustic instruments including a flute, an octave mandolin, and possibly a harp.

Can anyone recommend a good, (relatively) inexpensive audio interface that will provide low latency, work with phantom power, and work on a new Mac running Lion?

Right now I am considering these options:
Focusrite scarlett

Pod UX1

Presonus 22vsl

Other suggestions are of course welcome!

Don't overlook the MOTU products. While I use the HD192's with a 16 processor PC running Sonar X1, one of the guys in my band has a new 4pre and another the AudioExpress; both have late model MACs and use Logic Express.

Get a USB enabled Mic that is compatible with the Mac. All you have to know is how to set up the input level on the computer, and where you place the mic in terms of how far or close it is to the amp/instrument.

I record all of my music with a USB Mic and Audacity on a PC.

I just use a little Zoom H-4 I got for $250 a few years ago. Also operates as a 4-track and a great live recorder.
