I'm just about to purchase a brand new 2012 Ric 330. Are the electronics - pots, pickups of USA origin still? Can anyone confirm this please?

Well, at least the pickups are manufactured in-house. Always have been -- think about it -- they rather invented the electric guitar pickup with the original horseshoe, didn't they?! Don't worry about the pots. As stringent as RIC does QC, I'm sure they're fine, whether USA or elsewhere.

My 2010 360 had German tuners. Does that bother you? ;)

Indeed. I am in agreement with Ain'tGotNoPokemon on this point. So does my 1981 4002. Schallers are among the finest tuners made.

I agree about how great Schallers are, but the OP asked about electronics, and Ain'tGotNo responded talking about tuners. Tuners aren't electronic.

However, I do agree the Schallers are amazing, and I'm sure Ain'tNo would enjoy your agreement, but since he blocked you from that other post the other day, he won't be able to see your reply ... if he did really end up blocking you.

Let's stick to the OP's question about the electronics and keep the elementary school behavior off the forum.

As many of us who post frequently know, Rickenbacker is probably the last major American guitar company who has kept major production in the US. There might be some minor components made overseas, such as keywinds, but the majority of the guitar is made in America. No other major guitar manufacturer can claim that--not Fender, not Gibson, not Gretsch!

I like to think of buying Rickenbackers as supporting American jobs. (It doesn't hurt that they look and sound fantastic, too!)

I have a 330/12 and my wife has a 330 six string, so I would recommend that you go for it! These are exceptional and incredibly versatile guitars.
