Ok, this may be a stupid question. But I am going ahead hoping not to get too burned. I have a 350 6 & 12 String. I notice the balls of the strings are on the outside of the trapezoid. I sometimes rub the palm of my pick hand against the trapezoid when I am sitting down and playing. This may be a pain in the ass to do, can I put the ball end of the string on the inside and loop them over trapezoid? If I do that, will that effect the possible breakage of the strings? |

There's no harm in stringing from under the trapeze tailpiece. My advice would be to thread all the strings through the trapeze first as it will be much easier, but if you prefer to change strings one at a time well it's gonna be tough going, more so on your 12'er. If you do one at a time watch you don't scratch the top of your guitar's finish. |

Thanks for the reply. Sometimes we take the easy road. I totally understand the idea of stringing each string with the trapezoid un-hooked from the guitar. I am used to difficult stringing because of the various Bigsbys I have. I will tape the body where the strings might harm the Maple Glow finish. |

Just place a thick cloth under the tailpiece to protect the finish, be careful sticking anything to it, any glue like substance can do damage. |
