Hi Guys
I'm having this annoying problem with my 370/12 whereby with the selector switch in the down position the treble pickup cuts out. The only way I can get a sound out of it is to mess with the guitar lead going into the mono input jack, then it works intermittently but crackles and cuts out again. I take it it's the input jack so should I take it out, check and clean it?

Yes. Carefully clean both the R-O-S jack and the mono jack so as not to bend the summing fingers that bring the signal over from the R-O-S jack.

Likely that the switching contact on the mono jack has been bent. Pull the jackplate assembly and bend the contacts back with needlenose pliers, observing how the contacts work with a plug inserted.
Non-standard (typically Asian) plugs have tips that can bend the contacts enough so they don't switch the guitar to mono.
