I think since, RM has come out recommending another product.

George Harrison got his compression from the board as did McGuinn, the same place John Lennon got his distortion for Revolution.
People weren't idiots in the 60's regardless if the technology being used today requires merely a battery and back then a vacuum tube.

As for the link I left minus the dash mr. webmaster, it's petty. I'd like to believe that this system is in place to filter foul language not the jinglebells pedal which Rickenbacker is not even in the business of making, nor cares to make.

I must have missed where one of your total of two posts were changed. But any future ones that mention products that we don't care to have promoted on our website will be changed accordingly.

No offense was taken, really, I just wasn't sure where you were coming from in complaining about something that hadn't happened to you.

I believe I read that McGuinn and another noteworthy person said they got "the sound" using the red kidney.

I posted earlier about that. The kidney is a line 6 pod.Having heard RM live with his Ltd, on compressor with a JC and again with the pod direct into house PA I can vouch that the latter sound is more early Byrdslike than McGuinn's Back From Rio sound but, hey, this is RM and he sounded sensational both times. The last time I saw him he seemed more interested in playing his seven string Martin special and did a fair few blues numbers.
