I am considering buying a model 360. I would rarely play a 12 string. Could I buy the 360/12 and just use it as a 6 string most of the time? The dimensions appear identical. Please advise.

Why not just buy a 360/6 and save yourself a few 100?

Technically you could... But I would see Truss rod issues coming up. save the $$$ and just get the 6 string

Also, while you can string a 12 with only 6 strings, your string spacing on the fretboard will not be optimal.

I mean which of those 12 nut slots and bridge slots will you use?

I would also advise you to get a 360 (or 370?) 6-string.

I have a 360/12 and tried to string it as a 6 and it just didnt work. The whole of the neck needs readjusting and even then it was a bit buzzy. It was ok tho, because it meant I just needed to go get a 6 string as well :)
