Whenever I play my 620 unplugged I hear a rattling from underneath the pickguard. I would think I am hearing wires rattling. If that is the case what is the best solution? Should I just tape the wires down? I just don't want to do anything that could hurt the Ric.

Thanks in advance,
Spencer

Is it a true rattling sound, or more of a slight buzz? It's possible that the pickguard itself may be vibrating against the wood. My 650S was doing that with the TRC. A small piece of tape in the affected area solved that.

If it is coming from under your pickguard as you say, check to make sure all the hardware is snug (Nuts on switches, the jack and control knobs). Make sure screws are snugged tight, also. You could also inspect the wiring on the controls, and gently seperate any wires that are running right alongside one another.

Hope this helps.

If your ears are shot and have lost their directionality (like mine), such a noise might be caused by a loose bridge adjustment screw. Tighten ever so gently with your allen key.

It seams to be the bridge screws and I now fixed it. I don't know why i thought it was coming from under the pickguard.

Thanks everyone

Could be worse: I thought for weeks that mine was the "truss rod rattle" mentioned in the manual.
We have all spent too long listening to loud music on headphones...
