Unless I'm mistaken, you can only exchange for the exact type / color TRC as you send in, the idea being only exchanging a damaged TRC for an undamaged one.

Hi,
I'll start by saying that I like the white pickgards and TRC on my 360 and I'm not looking to change them, but... I'm very curious as to where this 360/12 came from ( http://www.pickofthericks.com/2005_36012vpjg_32140.htm ). Was it put out by the factory before the policy of not allowing vintage TRC's on non vintage guitars? Was it done as a one-off for a special customer? Is it a specially made 360/12 gold TRC or is it off a 660/12? ... Enquiring minds would like to know.
In light of the current TRC policy (which I have no problem understanding), whoever bought this guitar now has a unique instrument.
Thanks,
-Wayne

No, you can trade any type for any other, except for the gold ones.

White raised letter for white raised letter, black raised letter for black raised letter, plexi for plexi,no exchange for gold, period. That is the way that I understand it;please correct me if I'm wrong,Mr.Hall.Inconvenient for us RIC fans?Yes.Equally inconvenient for forgers/eBay hoaxers/foreign & domestic criminals?I should hope so.I don't like it,either...but I certainly understand it.HOWEVER...if you had a black TRC with white or gold raised letters, you could spray it gold,sand/scrape the tops of the letters, overspray it clear, and it wouldn't look too bad,and it would be a (altered) factory part.Hmmm...seems like I have a couple of those black ones...I'll let you know how it turns out...(>_<)...
