Has anyone ever attached a Roland GK2 synth pickup to a 360 ?

Hey, really good question; I had never thought about that... I'm also interested and listening for your answers. Also curious: what results would you get with a 12 string?

Hey,Richard!Welcome to the forum. That is an EXCELLENT question!I'd mount it temporarily with double sided tape,to see how you like it.If you don't like it,remove the tape ASAP,because the solvent in some adhesive tapes can mar, mark,or MELT Conversion Varnish finishes.I've installed them on many Fender Stratocasters this way, just to see how the owners liked it.If you DO like it,mark the location of the mounting holes, remove the pickup, drill the holes CAREFULLY,and reinstall the pickup, without the double sided tape.Be careful not to overtighten the screws.I'm not sure one will mount on a RIC,though;it has to be VERY close to the strings, and strings on a 360 are pretty far from the top!You might have to shim it up with a white Plexiglas plate, cut to the same size & shape as the pickup,to get it close enough to the strings.Let us know how it sounds!
