I just received a new nut from Rickenbacker today and it is too short for my '81 320JG. I ordered the standard 6 string without binding nut #03325. There doesn't seem to be another on the page like it. Am I missing something? The old nut is 3/32" taller. The new nut sits flush with the fingerboard now. Should I shim it with something?

I received an answer from someone over at www.ricksource.com, who said the nuts Rickenbacker sells on the site are for new Rickys not old ones like my 1981 320JG. I'll be getting a blank and shaping one by hand.

Before you do, let me hand this one over to customer service who will contact you by e-mail. There may be a simple solution.

As I said in reply to Kenny in Customer Service... WOW! Now THAT'S customer service! Thank you so much John!
The only other guitar company that provides this kind of hands-on customer service is Jean Larrivee's company. Rickenbacker has right to the top of the list as far as I'm concerned!
