Hi All,
can someone straighten me out here... the schematic for my 4003 says I need a 250K pot for the volunme control, p/n # 07342. but it doesn't show up in the Ric Boutique. all ther eis, besdie teh complete harness, is a 330K one. would this work OK, or do i need to get a complete harness ?
Thnaks, T

Yes. It's a good switch. With a little higher resistance, there should be a tad more clarity without getting any brighter as the 500kohm pots can do to the pickup response due to less impedance loading to ground.
As a matter of fact, not just on Ricks, but on some of my other guitars as well, especially the neck pickups, I have bridged the wiper and ring lugs of the volume pot (not the one soldered to ground) with a 1meg resistor to bring the effective value down to @330 kohms myself, as I prefer the slightly mellower tone. I also like the resultant hybrid response curve of the pot better as well -- not quite as sharp a "ramp" down as you come off full on.

You could do a search through the forum archives and find out more information about this switch.
