would it be possible to e mail you with a few questions about setting up a 4003?

yes i had been to your site and read everything about setting up a Ric but still not sure....(by the way Great site & very usefull just didnt see a couple things)

was a dumb one.....couldnt remember if strings had to be tuned to set the neck. Everything else was there and very helpfull.

It's a great site: very helpful & entertaining. I don't work on my guitars frequently, so it's a fine reference for the details I can't be sure I remembered correctly.

In fact I just reread the truss rod adjustment section so I could flatten out the neck of my 4001 after putting a set of D'Addario meduim nickel strings on it after having RIC strings on her for quite a while. The increase in tension made a huge difference in the action.
Normaly I stick to RIC strings, but I broke one & have a benefit gig this Saturday.
