I've taken a photo of the wiring on my 1981 320 and wonder if it is original or not. Is there an electronics guru out there that can tell me if it has been modified, repaired or original? Thanks! Doug |

It appears to be original and correctly wired. What makes you think ti might not be? |

Heh, heh, I just disassembled an 81 320 today, one headed for restoration. |

Quote: It appears to be original and correctly wired. What makes you think ti might not be? I had my 320 apart for a total cleaning and change to a set of D'Addario Chrome flats. As I had the pickguard off, I examined the wiring and it just looked like some of the connections were a bit "ragged" in the solder connection. The soldering on the neck pickup volume pot looks resoldered to me. |

It looks exactly like mine did before I installed the push-pull. Because of soldering to ground on the casings of the pots, and the lugs of the selector switch, soldering is not going to be as neat as it is on your typical circuit board. |

Soldering works much better when the surface area to be soldered is small. The cases of the pots are huge heatsinks to a soldering iron, and therefore difficult to make consistant smooth connections. |
