Yes, that's We Five featuring Bob Jones playing the Rick 360/12 with a capo. Lots of jangle in 1965!

The "in studio" released commercial version of this song is considerably more compelling. The "Santa Ana chime" is much more pronounced and gives this song a unique feel to it.

That gal lead singer bares a suggestive resemblance to Linda Ronstadt at a younger age.

I think she was in the Stone Poneys.

The singer is Beverly Bivens. She does have that early Linda Ronstadt look. Linda Ronstadt was the singer in Linda & the Stone Ponys.

I was a big fan of the "Stone Poneys" circa 1967 of which everything they did of the those glorious times was produced recorded, mixed and even the album jacket covers and publicity stills were done at Capitol Records tower near Sunset and Vine.

And this was years before before Linda Ronstadt convinced our just newly Governor-elect Jerry Brown that was he was "No good, no good, Baby you're no good!"

The Stone Poneys toured a little bit with The Byrds.

Wasn't "You're No Good" by Carly Simon?

No!!!
YNG was definitely Linda Ronstadt circa 1974/1975

Carly of Simon was of course famous for her 1972 mega-hit "You're So Vain."
