(See p. 15.) I know a bunch of people commented in this thread, but when I think of Paul Weller I still picture him playing a Rickenbacker, not a Fender! I assumed he was playing a Casino these days. He has been in recent adverts for Epi. Fender are willing to give a signature model to anyone who has their name in print. Johnny Marr is suppose to have a Jag come out next year. There has even been talk of an Al Jardine Strat (Ric at least beat them to the punch with a Carl Wilson model). I still would love a Peter Buck 360...

Weller was on BBC Radio 2 one Saturday morning last year. The presenter,Liza Tarbuck, asked for any questions to be emailed in.Simply,I asked Weller why he doesn't play Rickenbackers anymore. He started to answer my question by saying how beautiful and iconic Rickenbackers are.Unfortunately,Tarbuck had a unfunny sidekick (as so many radio presenters do) who then interupted and repeated yet again an ongoing unfunny joke.
Tarbuck encouraged the clown and Weller never got the chance to answer the question. He doesn't live far from me here in London so guess I'll ask him in person should I bump into him.Got a friend who sees him often around the Maida Vale district of West London.
I was also at The Jam's gig at Wembley when he tried to smash his 330 off the amp repeatedly.Crowd egging him on.I wasn't.

Ain'tGotNoPokemon--If you look at the MF title for the web page, it says "Paul Weller." But you have to read the ad copy closely to see that says "Paul Waller" in the copy. I did not confuse the two names--I was merely going by what MF had printed in their catalog and on their web pages. http://www.musiciansfriend.com/guitars/ ... ric-guitar

My mistake! I thought you posted the Jack Nicholson/Jack Nicklaus bit.
While we're talking reissues, why not a Bruce Foxton Burgundy-glo 4001?

Yea you're right about radio and tv presenters who do that...You're just about to get an answer that you really wanna hear when they interrupt for something stupid, normally to fulfill their own egos, and then the topic moves on and you never get that answer....I'm glad you didn't encourage him when he was trying to destroy his Ric....That's sacrilege in my eyes
