I am sure that I am not the only one around here who has just received Paul´s newsletter with the announcement that new remastered versions of his "McCartney" and "McCartney II" albums are available:

I ordered the vinyl edition of the two albums with an additional mp3-download option at once.

"McCartney" is one of the best albums I own. It was not well received in 1970 because people were disappointed about the Beatles breaking up. Nevertheless this album is a masterpiece in my opinion. I like the "home-recording" atmosphere of the album VERY much. I look forward to listen to the remastered version with the announced bonus tracks.

Cool! I'm glad they'll be available again. I was very bummed when most of his remastered catalog was pulled from iTunes a while ago. I love McCartney II--I was lucky enough to be living in England when it came out, and it generated quite a bit of buzz at the time. I believe the video for "Coming Up" was the first time he'd publicly played his Höfner bass since "Let It Be."
