Just noted something weird. On the Edge playing 12-string MapleGlo photo, look at where the truss rod cover has landed.
Either the headstock is way over-sized or the TRC is a miniature, complete with a sticker above it.
Maybe he's just not fond of the "classic" strings rubbing against the standard plastic TRC and popped a mini-me on instead.

Hmm- It's a little blurry (okay, it's a LOT blurry), but I cut out the headstock and enlarged it.. I'm not convinced that the TRC is actually smaller. It may have been sanded on the top side a little to clear the string channel, but the point of the TRC appears to be between the 5th & 6th winders, which is pretty much the same as mine..
I won't post the image, it's just too grainy and probably copyrighted by the Gazette, but take a look while the collection's still up. Meantime, I am going to suss out any other pics of that particular guitar and see what's what.

Looking back at my 660-12 now, I guess that I should just put a temporary sticker at the top the headstock so that "my" tech can easily pick out number 6 for me.
That extra label really makes things look different.
