Last Sat. night I saw the Bangles in concert in St. Louis. Susanna Hoffs played, throughout the entire show, a 3/4 size white Ric with an R tailpiece & 3 pick-ups that appeared to be modified. Does anyone know if it was a 325 that was modified or if it was a different model? Her black signature model was on stage, but she never played it. The Ric she played looked & sounded great. The band just released a new CD which is very good- it has a great garage-type feel to it. |

It is her prototype SH 350.... There is a thread on the RRF about this that discusses it at length... {Fixed by moderator} |

Nice guitar. I'm not much of a Bangles fan; the SH model looks cool, though. |

What I find interesting about her playing this white 350SH (which I believe is the prototype) is that she first decided she didn't want the white finish, and could they do it in black? I guess she's had plenty of time to think about it and finally realized what a cool color combination she'd asked for at the very beginning! Oh yeah, just read Ontario Rick Fan's post more carefully above, in which he points out that it's the prototype. Their latest two CDs have been really good ("Doll Revolution" and "Sweetheart of the Sun"; my favorites, though, are their first EP, called "The Bangles," and their first LP, called "All Over the Place." It's funny--they complained about David Kahne's production, but I thought he did a great job of producing them when they first came out. One of the greatest shows I can remember seeing was when they opened for the English Beat in '82. Saw them in Dallas. |
