I always thought Smith would be more associated with cheaper instruments; his connections in music, such as Modest Mouse, often could not afford anything better.

Then again, as I am not a huge ESmith fan, I don't know that much about him.

He has several ES 335's , they seemed to be his primary guitars since at least 98 .
