OK. Things at work have changed, with guys leaving and new guys coming on, and I'm on the edge wondering what my place will be. So I surfed YouTube and consoled myself with REM, "It's the End of the World As We Know It," etc., and then to try to get myself in a better mood, "I'll Be There For You," the song that was inspired by it for "Friends" by the Rembrandts. I popped up the video, and, well, just count the number of Ricks in the video:

Yeah that one's a real Rickfest, with classic Hard Days Night influence.I guess the times are a-changin' once again.

Seems like early Beatles mixed with the Jam. Sadly, I am unable to enjoy the song without thinking of the nauseating show, Friends.

It's a pity they couldn't have any more chart success.

The bass and the 450/12 look good but the 360 style guitar is not a real Rickenbacker, in my opinion.

It looks like it's a 370 with the Ric logo torn in half.

But the headstock appears to be a different shape and a bit more elongated than one would expect to see. I also have my doubts as to its authenticity.

Well, it looks authentic to me, but there is no shot close enough to tell.

Pausing it right at 2:11, you can see it's a six-string headstock, but slotted.
Also the pickups are dog-ear P-90s.

At 2:06, you can see it has no ROS jack. And the soundhole is in the wrong place.

Finally, it's evident there is no R tailpiece (or any tailpiece), but instead an apparent stop-tail screwed into the body.

I think the evidence has created a reasonable doubt in the mind of the jurors.
