Yep, it's that time of year. Another get-together for Rickenbacker enthusiasts in Southern Calif is planned for the Labor Day Weekend. Meet and greet fellow Forum members; find out technical stuff about set-ups and fix-its; play along on some songs that you enjoy.... and oogle at some of the nicest Rickenbackers this side of the company's museum.

Saturday Sept 1st --- Noon to 6 PM Note – we are at a different location !!!
The Studio rental cost will be shared amongst the participants. Bombshelter is providing the Drum Kit and P.A.
Drummers bring favorite Cymbals.

Bring Sufficient Guitar Stands !! We also need a few Guitar amps and a Bass amp rig.

We've had a pretty good response so far with folks confirming for attending the get-together on Saturday Sept 1st at Bombshelter Studio on Garden Grove Blvd.

Time for the event is Noon to 6 PM. Costs for the studio rental will be shared amongst the Confluence attendees and shouldn't be too much.

The event has been moved to:
Malone's Bar and Grill
604 E. Dyer Road Santa Ana, CA 92705.
The time will be 12:00 PM to 7:30 PM.

Malone's has been overhauled since we were there in 2007. It has two real stages, one will a PA, the other is a do it yourself stage. The place looks better than it used to (on the inside).

The cost will be split evenly though the amount of attendees. It won't cost much more per person than if we had it at Bombshelter.
For instance, if we have 30 people, it comes to $8 per attendee. If we have 40 people, it will be $6 per person. You pay only once if you bring a significant other or child. I have cleared well behaved minors being there. The rules for minors are; they are not to sit at the bar and they are not to go into the pool room and stay away do not handle the instruments if they are not musicians. If you bring an interested friend, we ask that they a give small contribution to the cost.
We will be much more comfortable with this many people at Malone's with room for our instruments.
