In So Cal, we just can't get enough of our jams. We really didn't have a SCARF this year either. So we're going to close the year with sort of a Christmas party with one more event. Hey, what if the Mayans were right?!
This event will be on Saturday December 8, 2012 at:
Malone's Bar and Grill
604 East Dyer Road
Santa Ana, Calif 92704

We will start at noon with jamming and towards the later part of the afternoon. It's possible that we will have short a line up of Rickenbacker playing bands. I've had this posted on the RRF and Facebook for a while and I've had very little response as far as bands are concerned, so we will plan the bands start/end time by how many bands there are, if there are any that will perform. I think we'll end no later than 8PM, give or take an hour. I think everyone will have had enough by that time if they are there the whole time. Then it also let's Malone's plan for other things that might go on, like other possible Christmas parties and bands, DJs, etc. It also lets attendees to get to gigs if they have them that night.

I need bands that can each bring at least 20 people, not including people attending to jam or significant others. If you want to have your band in the line-up, post it here or contact me. The sooner the better to get this event worked out.

We'll probably leave a backline in place if possible, to get bands on and off faster and easier.
All other details with be just like they are for Ricktoberfest® II.

Thanks to Ben for the name Janglebell Rock® for the event! 8-)

Event update!
Since I didn't get ASAP responses from enough bands, there will be no band performances, jamming only.
The stage is ours, starting at 12 PM and we must be off the stage before 7 PM.
Those who are bringing amps and drums for the backline, please be there early so we can start jamming as soon as possible, which helps let everyone get a chance at jamming.
Be in the Christmas spirit and wear something Christmas-y, like a Santa hat! :)

After this jam, I think it's best to give them rest for a while.

I may try to organize a So Cal Rickenbacker playing band night in the spring. That event will be bands only, no jamming.

I've made a sign-sheet for the Janglebell Rock® event. Add your name to the songs you'd like to play. Please feel free to add songs and please be open minded to play songs that others have added. It's okay to bring chord charts and sheets with lyrics, just be careful with your music stands so people don't ding or scratch their guitars. I don't know about anyone else but I'd like to widen the variety of songs other than the usual ones that we play and/or hear every jam.
Here's the link: Janglebell Rock® Sign-up Sheet

Please let me know if you have any issues with the sheet.

Please bring a stand for every guitar you bring.

Attention Janglebell Rock® Drummers ! !
We are most grateful that Forum member Tim O. will be providing his drum kit for the jam :D
All Jam Drummers are reminded to bring their own snares and cymbals ! !

Guitar Amps:
And could we ask those who brought guitar amps to the last events at Malone's, if you could please bring your amps again this time. We want to get the amps and equipment set up early so that Malone's sound man can mike them all.

Reminder to all Jam participants --- Bring sufficient Guitar and Bass Stands for all your instruments ! ! !

A few reminders for the event:
- We will be giving the jams a rest for a while, so this will be last mini jam for a long time.
- The cost should only be about $5 per jammer.
- Jammers can feel free to bring family and friends. There will be no event cost to family and friends of jammers, only if they would like something from the bar, that's up to them.
- Where else can a Rickenbacker loving musician go and have an afternoon of fun for just $5?
- Well behaved children are welcome, however they shall not touch the instruments without permission (our rules) and the can't sit by the bar or hang around pool tables (Malone's rules).
- In addition to the song sign-up sheet, we may also have a stage time sign-up sheet so EVERYONE gets their chance to jam.
