A very sad day for us all. One of the music worlds finest bassist and musician/composers; he will be missed. R.I.P to one of Rickenbacker's greatest ambassadors.

This is really terrible news. I've been lucky to have seen Yes a few times in recent years and always was thrilled to see Chris on his Rick playing those wonderful bass lines for classic Yes songs. I don't see how Yes can go on without him on bass. He was the essence of the band. I know there are those who argue it isn't Yes without Jon Anderson. I won't get into that issue, but for sure it ain't gonna be Yes with Chris gone. I sure can't imagine seeing the band without him. So sad. Chris is a big reason why I own that 4003 bass.

I am truly broken-hearted. I haven't felt this sad since John Lennon died. The music scene will not seem right to me from now on.
Chris was my biggest influence and inspiration on bass, the reason I bought a 4001 in 1976.
RIP.

Too bad on the passing of Chris Squire. But he had a tremendous career and won't be forgotten.Definitely one of my biggest influences. He made the Rick sound his own.
