Are there any Guadalcanal Diary fans out there? I believe that band used a 381/6.

Are they still around Georgia area?

Best,

MMM

Guadalcanal Diary were indeed a great band. I'll have to dig out the CD and check 'em out again for old times sake. Their rendition of "Vista" is awesome.
edit:
Plenty of Rick 12 string jangle and their bass player also was a rick fan

They were a fun band. I last saw them in DC in 89 or so. I still have a copy of Walking in the Shadow of the Big Man.

I did a show or two with Murray Attaway, and asked him about that. I want to say he had a 480 or two.

The Indicators, another (still active) Atlanta band, were backing Murray up for live shows about 4 years ago, which was how I met him.

Jeff Walls was in GD too, right? He's now in The Woggles, after having produced some records for them, and filling the shoes of the late Montague.

I recently bought their first album off iTunes (all my vinyl is boxed up in storage...). Yeah, great band, nice sound. It's too bad they never got out of the shadow of that other band from Athens.

I loved Guadalcanal Diary at the time...they just seemed to fade away. Too bad - they had some good tunes.
