I recently saw an old picture of Jay and the Americans and one of them (the only instrumentalist pictured) was playing a 360. I couldn't tell if it was a twelve or a six but it was definitely a Mapleglo 360.

They had a lot of monster hits in the 60s and Jay Black (the leader), who was also a friend of John Gotti's is still active doing oldies shows.

Here's a TV performance of "Cara Mia" by Jay and the Americans and the Rickenbacker.

Thank you. I've now seen a host of perfomances by them online and that guy slways has his Rick. Incidentally Mr. Black who would have been in his sixties at the time did a PBS benefit concert wherein he did Cara Mia complete with the high ranges. The audience was pulled off their feet and you could tell he was personally proud of the achievement.
