I thought there would be a plethora of Rics at the "Tribute to Mike Smith" on Tues. Aug 2 at B.B. Kings in NYC.
Alas, there was but on Will Lee of the Fab Faux (and the David Letterman Show) had a mid '70s White 4001.
Peter and Gordon, Denny Laine, Billy J. Kramer, The Zombies --No Rics !!!
There were a dozen or so Vox amps, of course.
It was a great show. The P&G harmonies, Colin Blunstone still has that voice, unreal. Once in a lifetime for me. And it was also for a great cause.

I would have loved to have gone! I knew about it and it is 3,000 miles away, so....
This concert was perfect for me as it premiered the guys I grew up with.
I respect Will Lee and am envious that he is able to play for millions of people a night. What a great gig -- and so much fun!!!

Will's Ric bass is steller, I still can't get used to him playing it on the up-stroke all the time though on the Beatle stuff. He IS one of the greatest-estestizzizzz bass players of all time.
Nuff said.
