While I guess I'm sorry to hear that he's not keeping it, in a way it's good news. More than one other guitar has cropped up for sale claiming to be this one; this rather confirms that they were not as claimed, as we always suspected.

I must also say, Mr.Hall, that the Amber fireglo finish was perfect for the reissue!

what happened to the one-of-a-kind 12-string 325 made for John?
it had a very lush sound, I think he used it in the song "Every Little Thing". (Beatles VI).

it had a very lush sound, I think he used it in the song "Every Little Thing". (Beatles VI). Good question. It did have an interesting sound. I believe it was also used on "Any Time at All". I have seen a few like it that were made later on. They show up on ebay every once in a while. The Rose Morris was bought by Jim Irsay for 910 thousand dollars. He also bought Ringo's drum kit for 2.2 million. Not sure if he also picked up George's Gretch, which garnered 175 grand at the auction.

SN was DE 519. From May 1964. A Facebook friend in Japan owns DE514 and was very pleased to discover how close his was to Ringo's.
