Does anybody here knows how many 480's were made by Rickenbacker from 73 to 84? Any idea about? tia |

RIC doesn't release production numbers, so it would be pretty much impossible to know |

There are 107 of them registered in the RRF Register. Made from 1972 to 1983 http://www.rickresource.com/register/in ... 52&order=5 So at least that many! |

I believe they were in the catalog untill 1985, 1983 is just the latest example in the Register. |

There is no hard evidence to go on outside of the RRF. My gut reaction would be about 1000 in total (or a 100 or so a year) - From 1976 to 1982 RIC made between 5000 to 7000 instruments a year. Most of them in that era were 4000 series basses... No hard evidence to support any of this - just from browsing the RRF and from the number of them I have seen over the years... All of it pure speculation on my part... ![]() ![]() ![]() But i hope it helps you. So do you have one??? |
